What are Blue Star Mothers?
Blue Star Mothers are mothers, stepmothers, grandmothers, foster mothers, and female legal guardians who have children serving in the military, guard or reserves, or children who are veterans. We support each other and our children while promoting patriotism. Our organization focuses on our mission every single day and will never, ever, forsake our troops, our veterans or the families of our Fallen Heroes.
We have nearly 6,000 members from more than 200 chapters throughout the nation.
The Blue Star Mothers mission:

When do the Blue Star Mothers meet?
We typically meet on the 4th Tuesday of every month at the Bellevue VFW. Please check the HCVSO calendar of events under the events tab at the top of this page for date, time, and place for all meetings and events of many local veteran organizations.
What do the Blue Star Mothers do in the community?
We do numerous events throughout the year, such as our annual Craft Show; Red, White, and Blue cords for all seniors going into the military from surrounding high schools; help numerous veteran organizations by volunteering at their events; send packages to service members overseas; and most importantly, support all who have a child or loved one currently in the service.
